The best robotic mop and vacuum robot Vacuums that mop (Feedrabbit.com) Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.
He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those who are looking to remove mopping from their to-do lists. Some of them have excellent mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance. Some even wash and refill mopping pads for a hands-free clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that can also mop, this is the model to go for. It's smaller than other options on this list which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar which, when paired with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robot vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.
It's extremely fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and the hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in one go. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it comes into contact with rugs, and the dual side brushes help to tease out debris from corners.
The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The rotating mop spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like books and broken toys.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tried. It doesn't create the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up, and it works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to be aware of this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.
The device comes with an efficient cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out your home and also identify furniture and other obstacles. This information can be used to clean effectively and efficiently. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning that's also fairly quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally the mop pads can be cleaned and dried to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction strength and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it will make, which will determine how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to avoid damaging carpets and carpets.
The device is costly, however it has many useful features. It's important to keep in mind that it has recurring costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is to be cleaned every 150 hrs, and the mop pads must be replaced every one to three months.
This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has a power button which doubles as a 'Clean button' and a Home' button to send it home after cleaning. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin and refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dry its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a busy professional or someone who wants to have a clean home without spending much time doing chores The Shark Matrix Plus is a good option. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle mopping and vacuuming. The robot comes with two modules: a combined dry bin and reservoir of water, and a separate mopping unit with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.
Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its most impressive feature is its precise floorplan map, which it uses when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option to set 'No-Go zones' and virtual barriers, which help to shield specific areas of your home from being scrubbed with mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots had struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were pleasant jingles to let you know that it was beginning and working towards its goal.
The app was too easy and you had to change the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which can be a pain for homes that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can do both vacuuming and mopping.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot hoover best automatic vacuum is the most expensive in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni is notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and the 2.5 milliliter dust bin.
The base also comes with a set of control buttons that allow you to start cleaning and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to toggle a child lock, which is a nice touch for parents worried about children playing with the vacuum.
Like other robotic vacuums the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to spot furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally become so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened and especially because the X1 Omni does not have an "stuck" status alert in its application.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, mopping pads don't get cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek, modern base and mopping pad. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
