The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats, and sometimes enhances its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations can be applied.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to buy a new item, such as an armor, weapon or ring. The item is swapped for one of the same type and comes with an additional set of bonuses. For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" boosts the base defense and gives an additional 20% chance to block. The dps "Wildfire", however increases damage to weapons.

Certain items benefit from upgrading less for their increased stats, but more for the fact that it allows players to get the maximum amount of value out of a perfect roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for example is highly sought-after by the melee PvP communities and could be worth 20-50 times the non-upp’d version.
