Robots That Vacuum And Mop: It s Not As Difficult As You Think
Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning robot mop and vacuum dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills, stains) in one time without the need to switch out devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good robot vacuum combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and an easy-to-follow guide will have you up and running with a clean and complete dust bag, a hard floor solution and water tank in no time.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly get rid of pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you select the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For example, you can choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but go easy on the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb and the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can smash into walls and other objects at a high speed, but just a glance at the cleaning history in the app tells you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's avoided.
A handy LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance jobs must be completed, such as emptying the debris tray, and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to needing recharging or returning to the base. And you can see the complete cleaning details within the app, which is intuitively laid out and easy to understand however we would like to be able distinguish between a mop only vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when looking at a cleaned area in the cleaning history.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly improves its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up small hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
This Roborock model, just like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it get around obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they are an object that is a wall or a different surface. It then can alter its path automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.
It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child-lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens up to reveal a 350ml trash bin and 200ml of water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I discovered with this model is that its VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've observed that any carpet that the robot touches will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mounts, which can cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a range of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. You can set up and manage these through the Roborock app that is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to go through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. It's a shame considering the performance otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its innovative design lets users to tailor and effectively clean while saving time.

In addition the X40 is quiet in operation, only producing occasional bursts of sound when switching modes or performing self-maintenance tasks.
Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush which allows it to get into difficult-to-access corners as well as clean furniture, such as tables and chairs' legs. It also allows the robot to access low-profile furniture which makes it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice addition that helps the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors by excessive back-and-forth movements.
In contrast to other robots that only focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.
The app is intuitive and user-friendly, and the X40's smart features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress, and alert you when it is finished.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many features that make it an excellent choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is filled and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot vacuum cleaner best is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It does have a number of features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature of its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni and can remove pet hair and other small dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station every time they are used. This is a great feature because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we haven't yet seen on other robot best automatic vacuum cleaner and mop models and could be a useful method to keep your home clean for longer.
There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleanings and adjust preferences. These can be set via the app or buttons on the unit itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are many features that other robots do not include, for instance, the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, rather than using an individual setting.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen in the market, sporting metallic and white colors that looks elegant and classy. It's heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list - at around 4kg however it's not overly heavy, and feels robust and well built. The mopping system is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop is a great choice for hard floors or in corners. They can also extend to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
