Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly referred to as "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment increases the stat linearly.

Players can recycle six items at one time to gauge the upgraded component of each item. The cost of recycling items scales depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to increase the stats on your weapons and armor. This can be accomplished in a variety of ways through the use of upgrade components or by increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. A lot of items can be reforged to increase their value.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available all over all over the world, as well as rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. The most common method of upgrading equipment is through the use of upgrade components which are the items that can be inserted into equipment. The majority of equipment comes with slots to upgrade and some require a certain level of upgrade. Certain upgrade components provide specific bonuses while others give an overall bonus.

There are several types of upgrade elements in the game, such as universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gems and enchantments can be placed on any kind of equipment and provide smaller bonuses than equipment-specific upgrades. Glyphs are only available on gathering tools. They offer a range of bonuses, ranging from increasing the speed at which an item gathers to providing extra crafting material.

Select the item in your inventory, and then open the Upgrade window. The window will show an overview on the right side of the screen showing what the expected stats will be after the upgrade, as well as any necessary components or materials. The Upgrade button at the bottom will be labeled as Blocked if you do not have enough of either.

The upper-right corner shows the amount of upgrade components required for the specific item. The price of an upgrade increases with the level and rarity of the item increase. However you can cut down on the cost by purchasing upgrades from a merchant or trading them with other players.

Many weapons can be improved by a prefix such as a rune, or an insignia. Some can be improved by adding an suffix. These upgrades include an adjective in the item's name, such as "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".

Glyphs

Glyphs are a powerful tool to communicate visual information. They are animated to grab the attention of the viewer and entice curiosity. The glyphs' animation mimics the body language, making them more effective in communicating a linguistic barrier-crossing message. Glyphs also create a sense of familiarity in the brain, increasing retention of the message.

Each glyph can increase a stat's value by a specific amount. This is clearly displayed on the item, when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the actual amount at the glyph can increase the stat, but rather the maximum amount it is able to do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the product you are in awe of.

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without dismantling them except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have a non-useful rune or glyph that has not yet been added to your equipment, you can transfer it to another piece of equipment by utilizing the upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.

If you wish to remove a glyph from a piece of then you'll need to salvage it with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item on which the glyph is located will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be recovered with the glyph shards.

A glyph added to an item may cause it to be unstable, and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you dismantle the item. You can also place a glyph on your equipment to increase its value. For instance, the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly rather than all at one time. This is beneficial for those who take many hits from their enemies, but do not want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens are used to change the affixes of equipment and weapons. They can be obtained from many sources, such as mysterious boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an unspecified affix, which is usually better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons that can be upgraded for better damage or additional perks.

Rerolled items don't appear in the menu of upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. If you click the "upgrade button" you can recycle the rerolled items. This will change the design of the item's window and let up to six items to be selected for recycling. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. The amount is based on the item's rarity and its level. Therefore, items that are higher level are more valuable for recycling than those with lower levels.

Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to roll rerolling Weapon Traits for upgraded units. Rerolls will determine the percentage chance of a particular weapon trait. If it is higher, the weapon will be upgraded, and if it rolls lower, it remains the same. Weapons can be upgraded up to 3 times.

Rerolls are a great option to upgrade an item, but players must be aware that it can lower the overall ilvl of the weapon based on the number of rerolls needed in order to increase the weapon to its ultimate ilvl. This reduction effect is most effective on ring items and Diadems that do not have any alternatives to raise their ilvls.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players for being expensive, and it would be more reasonable to let players pay for it with money or food items that allows players to alter their builds without wasting time and energy. The developers do not plan to offer paid rerolls in this stage in the game's development. They plan to add an ingredient that allows players to change their race in the future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The first method of leveling up an item upgrade is to increase the amount of upgrade. This increases the upgrade value for a stat. The alternative is to increase the impact of the upgrade, which boosts the damage or healing of the stat. The base item upgrader can be upgraded to a more advanced upgrade item type. The new item will retain its iLevel, but will be upgraded to reflect the effects of the upgraded item.

When upgrading items, it is important to remember that upgrades are not guaranteed. Most of the time the chance of a better roll will come from the glyphs, however there are also opportunities for greater or special rolls. Additionally the iLevel of an upgrade will be determined by the item type and should you upgrade items a unique or rare item to a unique type, it has a chance to get an increased iLevel.

Upgrades can be costly particularly if you are upgrading equipment from the standard track to legendary. The cost of upgrading a piece of equipment will depend on its base iLevel and the amount of upgrade levels. In addition, some upgrade tracks require crests to achieve the next upgrade level.

If you're lucky your upgraded item will be at the highest level of its upgrade track and gain an additional bonus effect. This will provide the item upgrades with a significant upgrade value. The bonus effect will change with each upgrade level, though. In general, the upgrade effect is increased a value of +3.

Based on the item's base level and upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item level upgrade will also change. For instance an item that has been upgraded from being a rare or unique item to an outstanding one is likely to gain the enhanced defense of the new base item.
