The best robotic mop and vacuum Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are a great option for those who wish to get mopping off their to-do list. Some have great mapping and obstacle avoidance. Some wash and refill mopping pads themselves for a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best robot hoover navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can last longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery during the cleaning.

It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms quickly and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways in just one pass. Its 8,000pa motor is able to clean dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like books and broken toys.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to use a mopping solution that is proprietary and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However when you purchase this robot mop vacuum for mopping it is important to be aware of this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo is different from other robot vacuums in its class. It is a powerful cleaning machine with a range of features.

The device comes with a powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively rapid.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. These include corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

Another notable feature is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction intensity and choose either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also select the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

The device is costly, but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to note that it incurs recurring costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours and the mop pad should be replaced every one to three months.

The robot vacuum mop is a top Amazon rating and comes with many physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also has a multifunctional dock that automatically empties the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be the ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone looking to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and long battery life make it simple to maintain a clean house with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two parts that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned however, they mean that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise floorplan map, which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. It was easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers, which can help to protect certain areas of your home from being swept with a mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture some of the hair shed by our cats, and even got into the nooks and crannies of our stairs, where other robots struggled. It was relatively quiet and had some nice jingles that indicated when it was starting or finishing its work.

The app was too simple and you had to alter the modules each time you changed between vacuuming and mopping. The app can't save multiple maps. This could be a problem if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who are looking for a smart device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have certain unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and the housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as an automatic 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle a child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as the power cord that is draped across a rug, that it gets stuck and ceases to function until you remove it manually. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a big change from the utilitarian all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
