The best automatic vacuum and mop Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst at Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning appliances. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who want to eliminate mopping from their list of tasks. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and some wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro
If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It is smaller than other options which makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.
It's extremely fast and does a fantastic job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted rooms incredibly quickly and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its 8,000pa motor is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and poop effortlessly. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help to tease away debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, isn't as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stain. I've noticed that the front arm sticks out a little more than other robots. This is useful in difficult corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to collect larger debris like broken toys and books.
Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've tried. It doesn't produce the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to set up and is effective however, this is something that you'll need to be aware of if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.
The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home, find furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean effectively and intelligently. This ensures an even and thorough clean, while also being relatively quick.
In terms of mopping, Q Revo's DuoRoller mop pads are capable of reaching many different surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be dried and washed to prevent build-up and reduce the smell.
App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect how fast the device will move around your home. You can also choose to turn off the side brush to prevent damaging carpets and rugs.
It's expensive, however it has many useful features. It is important to remember that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every one to three months.
The robot vacuum cleaner vacuum that mops is rated highly on Amazon and comes with a wide range of physical automation features. These include the power button that can also function as a general 'Clean button as well as a Home button that sends it back to its base station after completing its cleaning session. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal choice for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, smart navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home tidy with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It is capable of mopping and vacuuming. The robot is divided into two modules that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module that has microfiber pads. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean you don't have to worry about changing disposable bags or refueling the water tank.
Our testers discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job at both vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its accurate map of your floorplan which it uses to create the path to follow when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also offers the option to set "No-Go zones" and virtual barriers, which help to keep certain areas of your house from being scrubbed with a mop.
The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at collecting pet hair. It was able to collect the majority of hair our cats shed, and even got into the nooks and crevices of our stairs which other robots struggled. Its noise levels were fairly low and there were nice jingles to let you know that it was in the process of finishing its work.
Its main drawbacks were its lack of sophistication and the necessity to change between the modules to switch between vacuuming and mopping. The app doesn't have the capacity to hold multiple maps, which can be a problem when you live in a house that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a ideal choice for people who want a device that can mop and vacuum.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it has distinct features that make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a sink for cleaning and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses two bins: a 2.5-liter dust bin and a 2.5 dust bin that is 2.5 liters.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start a cleaning job and then recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle the child lock. This is a great feature for parents who are concerned about their kids messing around with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will stay clear of them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system maps your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise at recognizing objects.
This can cause the X1 to get stuck if it is entangled in a blockage, such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It won't function until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
Another potential downside is another issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between vacuuming and mopping modes during a cleaning session. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.
On the bright side the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking Robot Vacuums That Mop thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's a welcome sight for an industry dominated by boxy models.
