World of Warcraft Item Upgrades

Upgrades to items can be used to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it can boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, and also boost other stats.

Each item has a track for upgrading it. Each upgrade increases the cost of the next item by a certain amount.

Item Level

The value of an item's basic stats increases when it is upgraded. This value is the sum of the perks that are leveled up (attack magic attack and defense). Upgrades can be expensive depending on the person you hire and what you decide to do. This is due to the sheer number of perks that need to be altered to upgrade an item upgrader kit.

Item level is a popular measure of power, and can be seen on all item tooltips. It is also used to limit how much PvP gear players can use as PvP is restricted at a lower level. The average level of the item is listed on the character sheet.

Utilizing the level of an item can help players evaluate the strength of equipment when they decide to buy or sell. It's a good indicator of the quality of an item and the amount of damage it's capable of dealing with. Comparing items from the inventory of a seller is possible using the item upgrader kit's level.

On PC, you are able to view the item level using ALT, or by using the left stick on XB1 or PS4. This will show the full description of the item, including its ilvl. You can also locate it by hovering over an item and typing /itemlevel into chat.

There are several theories about how the item level calculation is made. One theory says that the item level is calculated by an equation that determines the worth of an item's stats really are. It considers the fact that various perks have different value, and also that sockets have gems that increase the item's overall value. This can lead to an item's ilvl which is calculated and is usually very close to Blizzard's real level of the item.

It's not the only factor that influences the value of an item upgrader mod. The degree of the area in which the item dropped can also alter its stats. For example it can increase the item's haste or crit score. Items that drop in higher-level instances will have a higher ilvl.

Item Stats

The stats of an item can make or break an item for players. The game makes use of them in various ways to encourage players not to limit themselves to one weapon and to motivate players to explore other weapons. The stat mods on a weapon boost the base stats. These stat mods are then enhanced by a player's level.

Upgrades to an item can increase its stats. The rarity of an item determines the upgrade cost. For instance, a grey or white item will only be upgraded once, while an item with the rare tiers will be upgraded several times, at higher costs.

Affixes are a different method to change an item's stats. They are stat boosters that can be added by the player to an item. The affixes are used to provide items with extra damage or other special abilities (such as reviving dead or reducing cooling downs), or to make them unique by putting a name on them.

All affixes can be currently re-rolled by selecting them in the upgrade menu pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a certain amount of gold and other items, which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as other rerolling options.

In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which of the available stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges for an item are determined by the level of the item, but all items are guaranteed to have at least one stat within the range, unless it's an exclusive item or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.

Another thing that could be altered by adding the option to upgrade the equipment without having to reroll the affixes or deciding which stats to boost. But as with base equipment, this would need to be done on a per-item level, and the item compare interface would not display all the possible stats either lost or gained at the same time.

Item Luck

The Luck stat of a player increases the probability of obtaining items as well as the properties created by loot and the strength of these properties. It does not, however directly impact damage or the ability to upgrade items. It gives the player the chance to upgrade their gear earlier in the game. This is especially advantageous in the early game, because players tend to put the scaling of weapons and defenses over raw damage gains.

In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the chance of success when upgrading items with the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade chance, which increases with each item level and can be further enhanced by using an anti-material, such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.

Armor, shields and weapons can spawn or be crafted with the Luck property, with an initial value of 40. These items can be augmented by using golden ingots or spined leather (depending on the material they are made of) to increase the value of 40 luck, or to increase an item's existing Luck up to 140.

Certain items, such as the weapon with Hollow-infused components can also be outfitted to increase the damage dealt by any skill that is able to deal damage by five percent. These items can be bought in the shop or constructed using the right ingredients.

Item Failure

Not all upgrades work. However, there are some cash shop items which allow players to increase their success rate or prevent themselves from losing an item in the event that the upgrade Item is unsuccessful.

The rate of success of an upgrade is displayed in the Honing UI. The percentage is the probability of successful upgrading an item upgrader mod. This can be increased by using Additional Materials or Special materials. The chance of success can only be increased so much, and the chance that the upgrade will fail cannot be greater than 100%..

The success of an can be affected by the Luck of that item. Every item has an average success rate of 25 percent and each item that has Luck increases this chance by 5percent.

It is important to note that upgrade items are rendered above the items in the inventory, so enchantment glint and other effects may be masked by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
