Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is awe-inspiring. It also self-empties itself and automatically refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of any object it encounters so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot cleaner robot mop we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills easily and leaves no trace of it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. You can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

The design is also superior to the other models. It features a sleek, top piece that appears like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. And the Clean Base automatic floor cleaners Dirt Disposal System automatically empty which is great to reduce the time spent cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to pick up and remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could catch small gravel and sand which other robots can't. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's shedding hair.

Although it's not as sophisticated as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.

While the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however we've found it be less reliable than other apps that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and often it's difficult to know if the update is actually working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best option. These bots are equipped with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. They're costly at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock has some of our favorite robot vacuums robot - head to community.acrosscenter.com -, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it might not include some of the expensive features (like no-go zones or multi-story memories) but it's an excellent choice for those who are willing to make a few compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums can really fall short. The Q5+'s navigation system is also top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or change the room's label.

If you choose the Q5+ it includes a new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this self-cleaning robot vacuums easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place it is done with relative ease. It also features a large LCD display that is great to have when you're creating schedules or changing settings. This isn't a necessity for everyone but it can aid in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design and function are among the top available - but it's also pricey.

It's a tiny base station that looks beautiful and is easily hidden when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.

Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive as well. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does an excellent job of removing dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the costly Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren’t as reliable as other robotvacs. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs like other models and isn't equipped with a dock that can create a cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do it all.

However, if you're looking to save some cash or simply don't care about the limitations of this machine, there are plenty of other great choices on the market which include a variety of eufy models that cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with more features like stair climbing, a full-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high- and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, a Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet floors, as well as a mopping function at an affordable price. It's easy to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock should be located near an outlet with plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, which means it can fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which scrubs an area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to perform cleaning that is not scheduled using voice commands.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from other models. It uses an integrated map to create a picture of the immovable items in its path. It keeps track of the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It automatically returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower monthly costs. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It also has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require to be emptied as frequently and comes with a set of boundaries to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't need emptying as often and it has less trouble with heavy materials like cereal.
