It's the only robotic vacuum/mop to score a perfect 10 in our tests thanks to a blend of high-tech sensors, including a camera, structured light system and multiple lasers. The X40 Ultra was the only robot we tested that could refill and empty its basestation on its own. It also boasted an industry-leading suction of 12,000Pa as well as self-cleaning mop mops.
The X40 as with other iRobot products, is simple to operate. It has an intuitive mobile application interface, and it is compatible with Amazon Alexa and Apple HomeKit. It also comes with a front-mounted camera that can detect hazards in real-time however this was not 100% reliable in our tests and was often confused with obstructions or power cords.
Its vacuum has a maximum suction of 7,000 Pascals, which is more than enough to complete the task.
