20 Rising Stars To Watch In The Item Upgrading Industry
World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like Crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the weapon's upgrade template is in %, the weapon will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the item level rises.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into weapons, armor and trinkets in order to give them a stat boost or to add an additional effect. They can be acquired through crafting, purchasing from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components are only available to devices that have slots. The item must be at least upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as as some non-ascended items. Enrichments and Infusions can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players to make stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them from the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear even if they are unsure what can be improved upon a reset.
The process of upgrading an item can be expensive and it's possible that the item will be obsolete or even break in the event that the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to minimize or eliminate the possibility of failure. Certain upgrades also provide a bonus if they are reinserted.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as you can.
It is commonplace to see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrade method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and give an enormous boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade item component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can decide to replace it with another Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.
There are Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain gathering tools that are unlimited-use and also through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs and there are some rare Glyphs that can be obtained as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have gotten the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
Utilizing the Glyph will boost all nodes that are connected to it, and you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximise the impact. For instance an Druid should try to position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes but also consider placing them near critical damage nodes, too.
Leveling
The system of upgrading items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines the final stats. Upgraded items may be leveled up to a maximum level of 385. Each level of item requires various components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.
Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be found in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed results in a certain amount of Technology points. These points can be used for the upgrading of an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be able to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.
When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced by a new item upgrade of the same type. The same armor can be transformed into the form of a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This can be a downside since the item may increase in price even if you don't need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do so. The item will be replaced by an entirely new item that is based on a level 1 base and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be used frequently as it can be a waste of resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their gear. An excellent example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives an advantage when a player repeatedly enters and leaves the water (or does not swim as a dolphin). This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is very important in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth as much as 50x the value of the unupgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by presenting the appropriate items and currency to an item upgrader (Full Guide) NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
All items can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero gear, which can have eight upgrades. Each time you upgrade a piece of equipment, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state which means that the player has to pay for more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum number.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in its growth bar will be reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonuses it gained, including crit chance and attack damage, and all additional effects associated with the effect (for instance, an increase in heal over time or speed of reload). The player is able to use their weapon or armor after the failure.
Whenever an item level upgrade is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance that it will be applied prior to any damage from attacks increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the item upgrades definition and the value is calculated each time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its base value. For example, a common item might have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items have a lower cost per upgrade.
Premium items have different upgrade requirements than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to bring every piece of gear they wish to upgrade to NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade of equipment will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs that are listed above.
