Upgrades to items let players raise the level of items that can be equipped, such as weapons or armor, as well as trinkets up to a certain amount. You can upgrade items at any NPC that accepts the appropriate currency.

There isn't enough room in the UI to make it work.

A script that checks the requirements of an item's upgrade before allowing the item to be upgraded is another option. Upgrading an item can cost gold and/or Dilithium, depending on the type of item. In addition, many upgrades require Flightstones and/or crests. The amount of Flightstones and Crests needed to upgrade an item is determined by the level of the item. Blizzard also sets a maximum upgrade level.
