World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades increase the value of certain numeric stats on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

For example an item upgrader kit with the upgrade template ending in % will suffer 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost increases as the level of the item rises.

Components

Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. They can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades have unique cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot for them; the item must have been at a minimum upgraded to blue level in order for the component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or by completing a mission within the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix can be added to an upgrade, changing the name of the item it is used on (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' is changed to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, which allows players to make stronger versions of the equipment with less Upgrade Crystals than would be required to achieve the same level of upgrade through normal methods.

A 'boost upgrade' can alter the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. Once the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can be dropped by enemies while upgrading other gear or buying them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals per.

The player is able to have the maximum of five boost upgrades at a time; each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-tier version of the item will be available during the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue improving their equipment, even if they're unsure of how much it will improve after a future reset.

Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process could be costly, and there is a high chance that the item could be obsolete or even break if it fails; a failed upgrade will destroy the Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that can double or even eliminate chance of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade components that can be inserted into special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs boost the power of nodes within a radius, which includes any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we recommend upgrading them to 15 levels as soon as possible.

You will often find in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the most effective method to upgrade your equipment. They are the only upgrade components which can be upgraded to level 15 and give significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

The majority of upgrades in the game can be replaced, however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without any restrictions. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and re-placed with a Black Lion Salvage Kit.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values it can improve a stat by. The value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.

Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use, and during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

Once you have the desired Glyphs, you will have to attach them to your equipment. Each Glyph will grant a distinct bonus that will boost the stats of a particular set of nodes that are within a radius of the Glyph. It can be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Utilizing the Glyph will boost all the nodes that are connected to it, so you should aim to place your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their most critical damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level that determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or on the upgrade tab of a crafting table. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrading an item. When enough points have been earned you'll be able to claim your upgrade items and get its extra bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player to a higher level, the original item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same armor piece will get a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set bonus. This could be a drawback in that it could cause the Best item upgrade to become more expensive if you do not need it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. The item will be replaced with the same item, but it has a level 1 basis and totally different bonuses. This is a good option for certain items, but it's not something that should be performed frequently, since it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can be rerolled several times which increases their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. This can be upgraded several times, each time increasing the maximum roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely useful in PvP battles, since a perfectly rolled version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its non-upp'd value.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to boost the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an item upgrader NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces improve the strength of their base defense and upgrades to weapon items increase the damage they deal and also increase their strength and dexterity.

All items are upgradeable up to five times, with the exception for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade item an object, it has a chance of failing. The probability of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item is not upgraded, the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it has gained, such as chances to be crit attack damage, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or reloading speed). The player is able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that if a weapon gains an increase in its crit chance it will be applied before any increase in attack damage. Slots is a brand new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated each time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on its rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to its value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25600 Technology Points, 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items are less expensive per upgrade.

Premium items might have different upgrade requirements from regular gear. For example, they may need less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. However, players must visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients for upgrading.
