The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He conducts tests and reviews of cleaning equipment. His focus is on robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers can be ideal for those who want to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance, and some even wash and refill their own mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models and makes it easier to maneuver into tight spaces or under furniture. It has a 220 degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a 4600mAh battery which can last up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen and hallways in just one motion. Its 8,000pa suction motor will quickly pick up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection increases power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the dual side brushes help pull out dirt from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by a lot. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to remove dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or on baseboards. The same front arms can be used to sweep larger objects, such as broken toys and books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've ever used. It is quieter and doesn't create as much noise when vacuuming or mopping. The only drawback is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping and is separate from the vacuum. It's simple to set up and is effective however this is something that you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole reason of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for an extremely efficient, flexible and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with a powerful cleaning system that incorporates LiDAR sensor technology and an RGB camera. This allows it to map out your home and find furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and efficiently. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach areas. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are washable and can be dried to reduce odors and prevent buildup.

Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo allows you to adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine how quickly it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to avoid damaging carpets and rug.

The device has a high price tag but comes with a large selection of smart features. However, it's important to remember that it carries regular costs in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example the brushroll needs to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and mop pads should be changed every three month.

The robot vacuum that vacuums and mops autonomous vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and comes with a wide array of physical automation features. The vacuum also has a power button which doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button to send it back home after cleaning robot mop and vacuum. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically emptys the dustbin, refills its water tank, and cleans and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a good choice. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it simple to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus is a 2-in-1 robot vacuum and mop which means it is able to handle both vacuuming and mopping. The robot is divided into two modules which include a dry bin and water tank that can be snapped out and in and a mopping unit that has an elastomer pad. It's not the most modern thing to have separate modules for vacuuming and mopping but it does mean that you don't need to worry about changing the bags for disposables or refilling the tank with water.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature was its precise floorplan map which it uses to create an outline for cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to stop certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

We also discovered that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in picking up hair of pets. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that our cats shed, and even got into some of the nooks and crannies of our stairs where other robots that vacuum and mop have struggled. It was fairly silent and also had a few nice jingles that signalled when it was about to start or finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the requirement to switch out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app isn't able to hold multiple maps, which could be a pain for homes that has a variety of floors. The Matrix Plus is a good option for those who want an intelligent robot vacuums that mop (www.metooo.io said) that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have distinct features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock, which serves as the robot's charging base as well as housing for two water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base has several control buttons, which allow you to manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Hold down two of the buttons to toggle the child lock which is a great option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, utilizes its camera to detect obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and stops working until you remove it manually. This was a rare occurrence however, it was a bit frustrating since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert in its application.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch from mopping mode to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that the mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a major departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and is a refreshing view in a market that is dominated by bulky boxes and clunky models.
