Armour

Link's armor is a crucial element in keeping him safe from danger. Although it isn't upgraded like weapons, you can enhance its defense capabilities in different ways.

The fundamental idea behind armour is to shield the person or animal from physical injury or harm whether from physical assault or from various dangers posed by the environment and activities. In the past, armour was typically constructed from leather or fabric however later, metal protections were used as well particularly in military applications like heavy cavalry or combat drones.

There are a variety of ways to upgrade armour, but the majority of them require you to visit one of the four Great Fairy Fountains scattered throughout Hyrule. Each fountain has a distinct degree of improvement, with higher levels of protection that require more rupees and other materials.

The first thing to remember about Armor Upgrades is that they are upgrades that last forever, meaning that once they've been applied they can't be replaced unless you have another piece of equipment that has the same upgrade. It is essential to only apply the highest grade of upgrades to your gear and ensure that you have the necessary materials to complete the process.

When it comes to acquiring the upgrade components needed, you'll find them in various locations around Hyrule such as shrines, merchants and even enemies. They're usually identified by a blue triangle or a gold circle symbol. They can be found in great quantities as you progress through. They could appear randomly, but there is a chance that getting certain upgrades will trigger a quest which will reward you with even more.

It is important to remember that, even though the level that upgrades offer may vary but it will always be greater than zero. A full set of upgraded armor will give you a strong defense boost that will protect against all kinds of attacks, except magic. This makes it a formidable weapon for all classes.

Weapons

If you'd like to make your guns distinctive, you can upgrade them with a variety upgrades. These upgrades can increase damage or change the stats of the weapon in accordance with your build. They also allow new attachments such as unique enchantments, various types of ammo, and aesthetic options.

To upgrade a weapon, you'll need to have an upgrade component in place and the item upgrader kit itself. The weapon should be at least a certain level to upgrade it. Most weapons only take one upgrade.

There are weapons upgrade components scattered across the world and from enemies or purchased from merchants. The upgrade components themselves are made up of ingredients that can be slotted into armor, weapons trinkets, trinkets, or gathering tools to grant an attribute bonus or other impact while they're being used. They require that the equipment be of a certain degree to accept the upgrade and can be upgraded in the same manner as other items.

Upgrades are a mix of Smithing Stones (a type of stone) and Runes. They are used to improve the stats of weapons and improve their scaling with other stats. They can be found among enemies who drop them in the open world, bought from certain merchants or found through drops during combat.

There are two NPCs who can upgrade your weapons: the Blacksmith Hewg in the Roundtable Hold hub area and the Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor hub area. Both of these NPCs will accept your Smithing Stones and Runes in exchange for a higher-level version of the weapon and an enhancement.

Prioritize upgrading your Best item upgrade-in slot items first. Then upgrade the ones you won't replace soon. If you're planning on playing in a melee-based build, for instance, upgrade item your weapon, then your chest and shoulders, then your hands and feet. The same principles apply to Magic and Utility Items, with the caveat that some products may be superior to others depending on your playstyle. The same is true for Armour, with some reforges having superior performance over others.

Magic Items

A character can only upgrade one magic item upgrade. If an upgrade project is cancelled then any subsequent upgrades for the item will not start. Magic items that are upgraded will cost twice the amount of gold it would cost to create or purchase however they may offer additional advantages.

A magical item is any item level upgrade that has special properties or effects. The majority of these items are weapons, however some are also shields, armor, cloaks, potions, rings, scrolls and other items. Certain of these items can be converted into a sentient.

The majority of magic items can be upgraded so that they are enhanced with new abilities. This could make them more beneficial to a player or help them to overcome a difficult situation. A weapon that contains a special substance might, for instance, provide additional damage against a specific enemy type. This is particularly beneficial for characters who have reached a level where they are likely to encounter the same type of monster in dungeons over and over again.

A ring with an infusion could grant protection against piercing, bludgeoning, or slashing damage from non-magical attacks (not even silvered ones) until the next time the character takes a long rest. This is particularly useful for melee martial characters or anyone looking to avoid buying a shield.

Certain objects with enchanted properties have special powers that allow the character to cast spells that aren't on their list of classes. This is beneficial for characters who have trouble filling their spell slots because of multiclassing. These enchanted objects require an Intelligence check (Arcana) and the spell is determined by rolling a table based upon the number of Intelligence point expended.

Other items that are enchanted can allow the user to alter their appearance, or even create a completely new appearance. These items can be especially useful for characters who have been forced to leave their home or are located in an area that they might not be welcomed. A magical item could provide them with invisibility or make them invisible to everyone except the chosen person.

Utility Items

Utility items are equipment which isn't part of the categories of Armor or Clothing and have a variety of capabilities. They are not compatible with each other, in contrast to Armor or Weapons. The majority of utility items have a passive effect that the player can activate by using them however, some come with additional capabilities that are activated when the user presses an action button or activates an ability.

The Flashlight is the most common utilitarian item. It is used to illuminate the surrounding area. Other items of utility include the Helicopter Hat and Rocket Boots, which allow players to fly in the air while they move, and the Jetpack, which allows players to accelerate in any direction while on the ground. A variety of utilitarian items can be quickly manufactured in the Engineering section, while others can be unlocked through research projects or experimental projects at the Proving Ground.

Players can gain more powerful utility items in addition to the items they have in their usual inventory by purchasing them at the Atomic Shop or from seasonal Scoreboard rewards. Some of these items can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness.

The majority of utility items give players a navigational advantage or increase the ability to fight. Sharpening stones, created by the Weaponsmith will increase power and Ferocity, while Maintenance Oils, created by a Huntsman will increase concentration and healing power. Other utility items like Writs and Theses crafted by the Scribe can be used to give the player either an increase in damage or condition damage.

All XCOM soldiers can equip a utilitarian item at the start of the campaign, and an additional slot can be obtained by acquiring certain types of armor or by completing engineering, research or other projects in the Proving Ground. In the Alien Hunters DLC, additional slots are made available by equipping the Grenade Launcher which lets the player equip a Smoke Grenade or Bomb in an additional grenade slot while an offensive grenade is placed in the main grenade slot.
