How To Save Money On Item Upgrading
World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The item upgrade items lets players increase the gear rating of an item by up to 700 points and give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you decide to take them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading due to their unique stats. (For instance an excellently broken point armor that is rolled can be used in melee PvP). Other items like weapons don't really change after an upgrade and aren't worth the cost.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to boost their numeric stats such as crit chance, attack damage PvE and damage from PvP. Weapons come with a flat-rate bonus that increases damage per second. In addition some weapons come with an added bonus that is activated when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a single unit. In some cases this bonus could add up to more than the amount of damage that a weapon upgrades by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity as well as its current level. For instance, an upgrade to a +2 weapon requires two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade item a weapon will continue to increase until it requires the higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of their base. While this is usually an excellent thing but it can also have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can make things impossible to use, unless you are exceptionally lucky.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their effectiveness. This will increase the base defense of a chest or helm as well as belts and gloves. These will increase their required strength and agility. Armor has a rerolling feature for its Enhanced Defense percent. This means that it is able to reduce its value.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain after upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that a weapon will gain 3% attack damage if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However, the 3% doesn't mean that it will strike 3 times less often because it's an absolute number.
A weapon can also be rerolled using the green button, which is accompanied by circling arrows in the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's level or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few upgrades to your armor can make the world of difference to your survival. Certain sets can offer massive improvements in the resistance to curses, poison, fire, and magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. The more defense your character has the more value you get out of each point of health therefore it is important to improve your armor as much as possible.
To improve your armor, head to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total and each one requires you to complete a unique side quest that involves the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed the main side quest and have completed the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the menu for upgrading your armor.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor is different. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and ten Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. The Champion Leathers, for instance can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to stay ahead in cold environments with a large group of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded to +20 defense to ensure you can survive a raid with friends.
Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on upgrading it for physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still wear at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight, the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town, you can gain some benefits to your armor. You'll generally want to save these upgrades for the weapon that you'll use to beat the game. For instance, the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the chest armor and helmets so that you can sneak around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. You can also enhance the effects of certain potions by adding glowstone dust and redstone.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP, which can be earned by making them using a craft table or in the Alchemist's chest. However, the upgrade price changes depending on what type of potion you want to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI in which you can select the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they will produce when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a time and the XP they provide will be added to your current XP total.
Once a potion has been upgraded, it won't degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it's stored in. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few modifications to the mechanism of potions. For instance the splash potions now have the duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the equivalent of 22.5 seconds that are displayed on the hover display for the item upgrader mod). The table of potion can now be constructed using four Wood Planks and two Glass. It is now able to be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the potion and replenishes the bottle.
In addition, there are lingering potions that are brewed using splash and dragon breath potions. In the same way, a lingering potion effect can be extended by adding redstone to it. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, for instance, the potion of leaping as well as decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket could be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It can also refer to an object or ornament that has a purpose but isn't important, like a Thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is a way to show affection or friendship between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. These can be upgraded by going to an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate amount in currency. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be exchanged at will without losing their status.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in some cases, dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased using tokens, gold, or fragments from rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to purchasing a new trinket. It can be done by the player for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will feature the same base ilvl of the previous one, and will include an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded once they're no longer needed, allowing a player to boost their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are an attractive alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are first upgraded, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment they will not replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). Players should also consider their class's preferred stats when choosing which items to upgrade. For instance, if Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for tankers, they should prioritize upgrading their chest, helm shoulders, belt, and chest.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade will ruin the previous trinket, unless it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than buying a new one.
