20 Trailblazers Are Leading The Way In Item Upgrader
World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
Item upgrades are a way to boost the stats of an item. Depending on the upgrade type it could boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity and boost additional stats.
Each item has a track to upgrade it. Each upgrade increases the price of the next item by a certain amount.
Item Level
The value of an item's base stats increase when it is upgraded. The value is the sum of all the leveled up benefits (attack magic attack, attack defense). Upgrades to items can be costly, depending on the upgrader you choose and what type of upgrade you choose to do. This is due to the fact that many perks must be replaced in order for the item to be upgraded.
It can also be used to enforce gating requirements when queueing for raids, dungeons and scenarios. It also serves to limit how much PvP gear players are able to wear, since PvP is limited at lower levels. Players can see their average level of items on their character sheet.
Using the item level can help players compare the potency of gear when deciding to purchase or sell. It's a useful gauge of an item's worth and the amount of damage it is able to deal. The level of the item can be used to compare items when looking at a vendor's inventory.
The level of the item can be checked by pressing the ALT key on your PC or using the left stick (L3) on XB1 and PS4. This will display the full description of the item, as well as its level. It can also be found by hovering an item with the mouse cursor, and then typing /itemlevel into chat.
There are various theories on how the calculation of an item's level is made. One theory says that the item level is calculated by a formula that calculates the value of an item's stats actually are. It is based on the fact that different perks are valued differently, and that gems in the sockets boost the value of the item. This can result in a calculated value for the item upgrader mod's level, which is typically close to Blizzard's real level of the item.
However, this isn't the only factor which affects an item's ilvl, as the level of the region the item dropped in can change the value of its stats, for example by adding an additional level to its haste or crit rating. Items that drop in higher-level situations will have a higher ilvl.
Item Stats
Item stats are a big part of what determines the value of an item for players. The game makes use of a lot of them in a variety of ways to encourage players to use multiple weapons, and prevent one weapon from being "the most effective." The base stats on a weapon are increased by the weapon's stat mods that are in turn boosted by the player's level.
Item upgrades add to that by increasing certain stats on the item. The upgrade costs are determined by the rarity of the item. For instance, a grey or white item can only be upgraded once, whereas an item upgrader with the rare levels will be upgraded multiple times with higher prices.
Affixes can also be used to alter the stats of an item upgrader. They are stat boosts which can be added by the player to an item. The affixes can be used to give items extra damage, special abilities (such as the ability to revive dead or reduce cooling downs) or to differentiate them by adding a name.
All affixes can be being re-rolled right now by selecting them in the upgrade menu and pressing the green button. This procedure will cost the player a specific amount of gold and other items which can be used to add to the upgrade gauge in the same manner as the other options for rerolling.
In addition to the possibility of rerolling affixes, players may also choose which stats to keep on an item after it is upgraded. The possible stat ranges of an item are based on the item level, but every item is guaranteed to have at least one stat within the specified range, unless it is a unique item or the result of a God roll from a boss of a raid.
Another thing that could be changed is the possibility to upgrade equipment without having to roll the attaches, or select which stats to enhance. However, as with the base equipment, this would need to be carried out on a per-item basis and the interface for item comparison will not show all the stats that could be that were gained or lost at the same time.
Item Luck
The Luck stat of a player increases the probability of obtaining items, the properties that are created by loot and the strength of these properties. It doesn't, however directly affect damage or the ability to upgrade items. It merely gives the player a chance to acquire better equipment in earlier waves and is thus more valuable in the early game than later ones because most players value greater weapon scaling and defense over the raw damage gain.
In addition to influencing the discovery of items, Luck also increases the probability of being successful when upgrading items using the Blacksmith. This should not be confused with the Blacksmith's overall upgrade probability that increases with each level of the item and can be further increased by using an anti-material such as a Scroll of Strength or a Jewel of Blessing.
Armor, shields, and weapons have a default Luck value of 40. These items can be improved with golden ingots or spined leather (depending on their material type) for a further +40 luck or to boost the luck of the item to 140.
Certain items, such as the Hollow-infused weapon, can also be equipped to increase the damage dealt by any ability that is able to deal damage by 5percent. These items are available in the shop or created with the right ingredients.
Item Failure
Item upgrades are a costly process and not all upgrades will succeed. However, there are cash shop items which allow players to increase their chance of success or stop themselves from losing an item upgrader mod in the event that the upgrade is unsuccessful.
The success rate of an upgrade is shown in the Honing UI. The percentage represents the likelihood of successfully upgrading the item. This can be increased with Additional Materials or Special materials. The percentage of success can only be increased so much, and the likelihood that an upgrade will fail can't exceed 100%.
The success of an can be affected by the luck of the item. Every item has an overall success rate of 25 percent, and each item with Luck increases this chance by 5percent.
Note that upgrades to items are rendered above the inventory items which means that enchantment glints and other effects could be obscured by the overlays. If you wish to disable the upgrade overlays, the config option decoration.renderUpgradeOverlays can be set to False in the Item Upgrader CORE client config.
