Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades

Upgrading gear increases its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrade is determined by the gear's tiers, their requirements and how many random augmentations are applied.

For example, the elite racial shield Razortail is commonly upgraded for its lightning absorb function in PvP, or to add additional defenses to missile-based designs in PvM. This makes it more tradeable over the original version that is not upgraded.

Reroll Tokens

Reroll tokens allow you to roll a purchased item such as an armor, weapon or ring. This replaces the item upgrading with an identical item however with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an affordable way to upgrade gear. They don't preserve the original equipment's condition, and any resources wasted aren't rewarded.

Survivors can obtain tokens to reroll in many ways, including through the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They can also be located in crates and chests, or purchased from the market at a cost of 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attributes of a piece of equipment that could include increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat.

Players can roll equipment with three attributes, physical power, spell power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by melee and weapons while spell power upgrades mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades give the player an extra health.

There are three kinds of reroll tokens: upgrade, rare, and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a higher quality. To make them, you require a higher level reroll token. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.

The marker for rerolling, unlike markers or tokens that are placed on action spaces remains on the space till the next success is being rerolled. This allows you to ensure that upgrades are not wasted.

Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the start of each preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grasping them. When they are opened, they show a description and icon for the Appliance or Ingredient. The restaurant's shop will exchange blueprints for a new appliance or ingredient for a small amount.

During a run, blueprints can be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on selected Franchise Cards. This alters the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the non-droppable Pool.

Growthstones

Weapons and armor, as well as accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones that increase the level of an item by increasing its stats or attributes. Players can locate these items by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs located in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. In addition, players can get these stones by completing daily contracts.

To upgrade equipment to upgrade gear, players must first locate the item, then click the "level up button". The menu will be displayed showing the item's current level and what it will be when being leveled up as well as the necessary amount of Growth Stones to achieve this. The amount of Growth Stones needed to upgrade a piece depends on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires one Growth Stone.

Once they have decided on the upgrade, players must then select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the corresponding cost. When the requirements have been fulfilled, the player may then click on the upgrade button to apply the Growth Stones to the item upgrader mod. This will raise the item's level by a specific percentage. The upgrade process can take between a few seconds and minutes, depending on the rarity of the item.

The upgrade process also is risk-free, and does not affect the item's longevity. This makes the system an ideal way for players to get an advantage in combat without straining their bank account. By clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progress of an upgraded item onto an entirely new piece of equipment.

For new players, it can be difficult to acquire Growth Stones. However, there are many ways to obtain them, including completing contracts and purchasing them from the Contract Coin Merchant, defeating Abyssal Contract enemies, obtaining them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book, or obtaining them from reward chests that are available during the Ancient Arena season. In addition, players can break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.

Leveling

Leveling is an option that allows you to boost the power of armor and weapons. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade materials, and also pay a cost in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will use up the upgrade materials and grant the item a higher level, granting the item a boost in the area. This process can be repeated until the highest level for an item is reached.

Items that have upgraded stats will display a blue icon beside their slot. Upgrade components, unlike enchantments, can't be added to more than one item at the same time. Additionally, each upgrade component will require a specific amount of items to be applied in addition to an appropriate amount for the equipment.

The Upgrade Station comes with two slots: the left is where players can add equipment that needs to be upgraded, and the right shows a preview of what the gear will look like once it is at its next level. When a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.

A piece of equipment can be upgraded a maximum of five times. Each time the item is upgraded, its base stats will be increased by a small percentage. The maximum level of an item upgrader kit is 19.

Once an item reaches the highest level, upgrades will no longer be available to it. When an item is upgraded to a certain track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.

Upgrade components are a form of equipment that can be slotted into weapons, armor trinkets and gathering tools to provide an attribute bonus or extra effect when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be changed by acquiring new ones. However, this can ruin the previous upgrade.

Requirements

Upgrades to items allow players to boost certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item differ based on the item type however, generally you'll require Dilithium as well as a few Upgrade Tokens (various options are available).

The upgrade items (written by Posteezy) can be used to make sets and weapons for extra effects or a higher quality item. These upgrades can be obtained through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses or raids, or collected from dungeons. Once an upgrade component has been placed into an object, it cannot be removed or replaced. However, glyphs can be swapped freely.

Upgrading an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. In addition, certain upgrade components include additional modifiers that could further improve the item's stats.

For instance, the helm upgrade "Foundation of the Sun" increases base defense, and also provides an additional 20% chance of blocking. The dps "Wildfire" on the other hand increases damage from weapons.

Certain items benefit from being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more for the fact that it allows players to gain the most value from a flawless roll on the item. A perfect-rolled 200/6 500 armor set piece, for instance is highly coveted by the melee PvP communities and can be worth as much as 20-50 times the value of an unupp'd counterpart.

When you choose an upgrade component to slot into an item, the game will display a pop-up window that shows the required requirements. This includes the type of item (either weapon or armor) the tier of the item as well as the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.

The game will place an item in your inventory after you've met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will update to show you how far to getting the upgrade completed. You can also check on the status of an upgrade by visiting any NPC who upgrades items.
